Advising & Support
You’ll find support in all corners of our campus, whether you need personal guidance, help writing a research paper, advice on choosing a major, or assistance finding a job. Just ask.
Academic counseling
All students receive advisement from a faculty member. Once you declare a major, you’re assigned a faculty advisor from that department to help you choose your classes, answer your questions during the semester, and mentor you.
- The Academic Advisement Center assists you with academic planning and program development until sophomore year, or until you have been accepted into a major program.
- Freshman Academic Support Services works closely with you, your advisors, and your teachers to facilitate your adjustment to college and academic life.
- The Charles G. Mills Writing Center provides support as you develop writing and critical thinking skills essential to written communication.
- The Elliott Mathematics Center provides you with alternative textbooks and a free tutoring program. The Center is open to all majors.
Other support services
